We are excited to announce our newest breakfast menu at Comptoir Libanais London Bridge.
Vibrant colours and fresh flavours are at the heart of the new menu with Tony calling on his childhood growing up in Algeria and his travels across the Middle East to influence the new recipes and dishes – Shakshuka a slow-cooked tomato, red onion, pepper & garlic sauce, mixed with parsley and coriander and topped with an egg & crumbled feta. Served with pita bread £7.95. It can also be served with lamb sausage for £7.95.
One of our favourites is the Lebanese Full Breakfast (£9.50) featuring spicy lamb sausage, spiced hommos, za’atar roasted mushrooms, sumac fried egg, chargrilled tomato, Lebanese potatoes served with flatbread.
Over half of the menu is vegetarian and several vegan dishes, yet again highlighting the fantastic richness of vegetables and their diversity in Middle Eastern cooking – the Village Veggie breakfastis the perfect marriage of ingredients – Grilled halloumi cheese, spiced hommos, za’atar roasted mushrooms, sumac fried egg, roasted tomato, Lebanese potatoes, served with flatbread and all for just £8.95, you’d be hard beat to find a more delicious and better value breakfast in London.
For those with a sweet tooth there is a dazzling array of pancakes, piled high on the plate and topped with mouthwatering flavours including Orange Blossom & Lebanese Dried fruits compote with pistachios and pomegranate seedsand Banana and Date molasses with roasted nuts, both £4.45.
Porridge and natural yogurt can be topped with a myriad of flavours. Be transported to warmer climes with Orange Blossom, Dates, Sultanas, Figs, Prunes and Apricot Compote(£3.95) or indulge with the Comptoir Granola with Yoghurt a delicious homemade granola spiced with cinnamon and cardamom and served with a variety of toppings for £4.75.
The menu will run until 12.30pm every Sunday and a delicious addition ot he menu that is perfect for this – Steak & Eggs – Rib-eye steak served with eggs, flat mushrooms, slow-roasted tomatoes and tahina sauce for £12.95.
The menu includes an extensive drinks menu, with coffee and traditional Middle Eastern teas as well as freshly squeezed juices and homemade lemonades including Toufaha– Apple, mint and ginger and Roomana– Pomegranate and orange blossom.
For those wanting something a bit stronger, there are Breakfast Cocktails including the Harissa Bloody Sirine– Vodka, pickled chilli, harissa and sumac spiced tomato juice.
The new menu will be available from Tuesday 30 April from7:00am to 11:30am Monday to Saturday and from 9:00am until 12:30pm on Sunday.
